La Taverne de Montmartre

Cozy place, not far from the Sacre Coeur, but not as crowded as other places there. The food was good and they had different menus. Reasonable prices. I would repeat 😊

The entire family lived the experience. We showed up without reservation near closing time at is small tavern, so had to wait about half hour outside. The weather wasn't pleasant, but I'm glad we stuck around. Food was great and the proprietor made everyone feel welcome and fun. We had raclette AND fondue between five people - the best cheese overload I had in a while. Won't hesitate to rate this as the best gastronomic experience of our five day stay in Paris.

My favourite meal in Paris! Well worth the climb up the hill just a few blocks up from the moulin rouge. It's a small, cosy restaurant with an old rustic vibe. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We ordered a cheese fondue and the kids ordered chocolate fondue. Both were incredible and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would definitely visit again next time I'm in Paris

We managed to secure a table outdoors even though we had no reservation. Originally, when we arrived they were quite busy and didn't seem to have room for us to dine however they did setup some extra tables outside for us! Service was great and food was fantastic. First time trying snails and I absolutely loved it. The resident dog, named Moon, is a beautiful bonus!

A really really nice place. Like an old tavern, they were really great to let us have a seat even though we had no reservations. Fantastic cheese fondue and meat board and great wine! Really really enjoyable

Cosy French restaurant in the beautiful neighbourhood of Montmartre. The to go place if you want to taste the traditional French cousin, so be prepared for a lot of cheese, meat stews, and bread. From the inside, it consists of beautiful woodwork. The staff was really friendly and they had plenty of vegetarian options available. We chose the escargots and onion soup as starters, which both were good in taste and big in portion. Our main dishes were the bouef bourgignon and melted cheese with vegetables. Both were really huge, but this didn't have any influence on the quality of the food. The stew had a deep taste, and the meat was tender after hours of stewing. It also contained plenty of vegetables. The cheese was pretty strong in taste (in a good way), and underneath, there was also a big amount of vegetables. We had a great evening here. Tip if you visit: Don't wear too thick clothes, as it can get pretty hot in here with all the cheese fondues. Luckily, they put opened the front door several times for some fresh air. 4.7/5.0

Small restaurant that serves traditional french food. The staff is very friendly and polite. You have to make a reservation otherwise you won't find any place especially during the weekend. Generally we appreciated the food, with the exception of the escargots that were the worst that I ever had. The boeuf bourguignon was very good, also la raclette and the steak. We didn't have any desert as the portions were quite generous and we were full. All in all a good experience.

This small family owned business is worth the visit. The staff is patient and willing to walk you through the various preparations of melted cheese. We had the vegetarian rachlette and it did NOT disappoint. House salad, grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes served with a nice block of cheese. There is nothing not to love. Highly recommend!!!!! Note: make a reservation and arrive hungry. Expandable pants also recommended 😀

Food was delicious and well prepared! It’s a heavy (winter) menu but was delicious none the less. Service is friendly but It’s a bit tight for space but we really enjoyed our lunch here. We got the beef bourguinogn and emince de voailles
